Seiko Seikomatic-P 5106-7030 Dark Silver Linen Textured Dial

The Seikomatic collection, launched in the early 1960s, represented Seiko's premium offering in automatic timepieces. The Seikomatic-P, introduced around 1967, had a limited production run, concluding in 1969.

This particular 1968 Seiko 5106-7030, a distinguished member of the Seikomatic-P series, features a striking dark silver dial with a linen texture, complemented by matching baton indices and hands.

The 5106 caliber, an automatic movement with hand-winding capability, was considered a marvel of engineering for its era. It boasts a high jewel count of 33, operates at 19,800 beats per hour, and incorporates a unique quick-set date mechanism activated by depressing the crown.

The 5106-7030 is encased in a robust stainless steel C-shaped case, meticulously polished to restore its original mirror finish. With a diameter of 36mm, it offers an ideal fit for most wrist sizes.

This timepiece is presented in excellent original condition, featuring overall clean dial, a clear crystal, and a recently serviced movement with good timekeeping and power reserve.
