Seiko Laurel 17J 14038 Black Stardust Dial
Seiko Laurel 17J 14038 Black Stardust Dial
Seiko's Laurel, considered by collectors to be the ultimate vintage product line from Seiko, holds a special place in horology. The Laurel, featuring its signature red 12-hour marker, was Seiko’s very first wristwatch.
Production of the Seiko Laurel continued as a sub-brand of Seiko, with models issued in the 1950s and 1960s as manual-winding only watches.
Presented here is a rare Seiko Laurel featuring a snake-shaped S logo. Its rarity is further enhanced by the striking black stardust dial, paired with gold-tone sword hands and indices. The printed logo and dial are in great condition, with no obvious signs of wear.
Powered by a 17-jewel Seikosha manual-winding movement that beats at 18,000 bph, this watch runs with good accuracy and power reserve.
The case is also in great condition, along with its original acrylic domed crystal. Overall, the watch has been rarely worn and well-preserved over the years.
This Seiko Laurel model is a rare find and a collectible vintage Seiko timepiece, embodying both elegance and historical significance.
