Seiko Type II 4336-8060 faceted Crystal Brown Textured Dial

The Seiko Type II series marked Seiko’s early push into stylish and accessible quartz dress watches in the 1970s, celebrated for their diverse case shapes, textured dials, and practical everyday functionality.

This 1978 Seiko 4336-8060 is a standout piece from the lineup. It features a tonneau-shaped polished stainless steel case with sharp faceted edges and hidden lugs, all in great condition. One of its highlights is the 9-faceted crystal, still crisp and sharp with only light hairline scratches. Beneath it lies a striking brown gradient “tree bark” textured dial, paired with gold and white striped hands and faceted stick indices, a clean beautifully maintained dial with no signs of aging.

Inside is the dependable 4336 quartz movement, offering strong accuracy along with quickset bilingual day-date and hacking function for ease of use. The watch retains its original bracelet, fitting wrists up to approximately 19cm.

With its unique case geometry, beautifully textured dial, sharp crystal, and overall well preserved condition, this Seiko Type II is a superb example of Seiko’s design craftsmanship during the quartz revolution, both collectible and effortlessly wearable.
