Seiko Super 13017 14K Gold Filled Bezel Champagne Crosshair Dial

Seiko Super launched in the 1950s, introduced a revolutionary center-second hand design, a departure from earlier Seiko watches that typically featured a small second-hand positioned at the 6 o'clock mark. This innovative feature set the Seiko Super apart and positioned it as a leader in the Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) watch industry during that era. It also served as a foundational model for subsequent Seiko watch developments.

The Seiko Super 13017 here is a prime example of Seiko's early craftsmanship, featuring the iconic snake-pattern "S" logo. Despite the aging dial, the Seiko Super logo and crosshair pattern remain well-preserved, adding to its vintage charm. The applied baton indices, combined with the numeral markers at 6 and 12, along with classic sword-style hands, further enhance its timeless appeal.

This piece is all-original, with a clear domed acrylic crystal and a polished stainless steel case in excellent condition. The two-tone design, featuring a 14K gold-filled bezel, adds both elegance and value to the watch. 

Recently serviced, its Seikosha manual winding movement ensures reliable accuracy and power reserve. With dimensions of 33mm to the crown and 39mm lug to lug, it comfortably fits most wrist sizes.
