The Seiko 6222-8000 from 1965 here is a vintage Seiko watch from the Skyliner lineup, which is identical to its Seikomatic siblings but has a sleeker design. It features a classic silver sunburst dial with a chapter ring, dauphine hands, applied stick indices, and a date window.
Its thinner profile sets it apart from the Seikomatic lineup. With a diameter of 38mm and a thin bezel, it is suitable for those who seek a vintage watch but prefer a larger case size.
The 6222 movement, introduced in the 1960s, runs at 18,000 bph. It has been recently serviced and operates with good accuracy and a power reserve that lasts more than 24 hours when fully wound.
The watch is in great condition with its polished case, clean dial, and an engraving of a unique crowned seahorse and some celebration notes on the case back. It has minor signs of wear on the side of its original crystal, as seen in the images.
