The Seiko 2628-5120, produced in 1982, is a refined vintage tank watch showcasing Seiko’s take on Art Deco-inspired design. Its vertical brushed two-tone silver dial is accented with bold black Arabic numerals, a railway minute track, and distinctive black syringe hands, completed with a sub-seconds register at 6 o’clock—an aesthetic reminiscent of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Classic Small Seconds.
The slim stepped tank case is finished with palladium plating, providing both enhanced durability and a bright, silvery luster. Powering the watch is Seiko’s 2628 quartz movement, specifically designed for the sub-seconds configuration, reinforcing the piece’s unique vintage charm.
This example remains in good condition, with overall clean dial, light hairline scratches on the crystal, and minor wear on the case. A collectible Seiko tank model, the 2628-5120 stands out as a tasteful homage to Seiko’s early designs of the 1930s and 1940s, while offering the reliability of a quartz movement.
