Seiko Laurel 7N07-5A00 Sub Second Beige Guilloche Dial

The Laurel name holds a special place in Seiko’s history. First introduced in 1913 as Japan’s very first wristwatch, the Laurel branding continued to appear across key Seiko models, most notably on the first Seiko Alpinist in 1959. In the mid-1990s, Seiko revived the Laurel line as a mid–high-end series, featuring premium calibres, sterling silver cases, and finely executed enamel or textured dials.

Offered for sale here is the Seiko Laurel 7N07-5A00, an extremely rare model believed to have been produced only for a short period in 1995. It features a beautiful guilloché dial divided into 10 textured sections, giving the watch remarkable depth and elegance. The raised indices echo the design language of the Red Alpinist, while the case is enhanced by 18K gold accent lugs, adding refined contrast and character.

Inside is Seiko’s 7N07 quartz movement, an interesting calibre originally designed for pocket watches before being adapted to wristwatches, mirroring the lineage of the first Laurel from 1913.

This example is in immaculate condition. The case remains sharp with minimal signs of use, the dial is flawless with no signs of aging, the hands show only light aging under certain angles, and the crystal is completely scratch-free. The blue sticker on the caseback is still intact, a rare detail that further reflects its well-preserved condition.
