Seiko Dolce made its debut on the second page of Seiko’s 1982 catalog right after the Superiors, and took the first page in 1983, marking its place as the high-end main line for the Seiko quartz lineup.
This Seiko Dolce 7321-5490 showcases a white ivory two-tone dial and boasts a ceramic case. With a hardness value (Hv) exceeding 1500, this material is the reason the watch remains in such remarkable condition today.
Notably, it features an unusual dark gray ceramic finish with an elegant side curve that seamlessly leads to the convex crystal, perfectly framing the dial and gold indices.
For collectors, this is a great piece to own because the dark grey ceramic variant is genuinely hard to find. Most surviving Dolce models from this era are typical gold or silver-tone tungsten, making this darker ceramic version much less common. Thanks to the extreme scratch resistance of the material, it offers a rare chance to own a 1984 vintage piece that still looks almost completely untouched.
It comes with its original (though worn) leather strap and buckle, and continues to run smoothly with a pristine case, dial, crystal, and intact onyx stone crown. An elegant timepiece that has easily stood the test of time.
