Seiko Chariot Tank 2559-3031 Hi-Beat Cap Gold Champagne Roman Linen Dial

The 2559 calibre is a small but robust movement, boasting a beat rate of 28,800 bph with 24 jewels and a manual winding configuration. It was first introduced in 1968 by the Daini factory.

This movement found its way into many Seiko Chariot lineup watches due to its compact size, allowing it to be incorporated into various unique vintage designs and shapes.

This Seiko Chariot 2559-3031, produced in 1971, showcases a gold cap tank shaped case with a striking champagne Linen roman dial. 

In overall good condition with only light signs of light scratches but no peeling on the gold plated case, and it runs accurately with a good power reserve with the manual winding function operates smoothly.

Historically, the Seiko Chariot series held a premium status in Seiko's lineup, even priced above the Lord Marvel series at the time, underscoring its prestigious position.
