The Seiko 7622 belongs to the Seiko Champion range, which was first introduced in the early 60s. It represents the late movement model of the Seiko Champion range (previously 860), exclusively featuring the calendar model.

The Seiko Champion range is known for its manual winding movements as the 1965 Seiko Champion 860 7622-9000. This vintage Seiko entry-level watch showcases a simple all-silver design with a silver sunburst dial, stick indices (with double sticks for the 12-hour mark), a cyclops date crystal, a S mark crown, and a textured link bracelet.

Despite showing a few signs of wear on the dial, the watch remains in good original condition, retaining its original crystal. The intact original bracelet is a rare find in today's market. The watch runs with good accuracy and power reserve, and the original bracelet fits wrist sizes up to approximately 18.5cm.

Also known as the Seahorse Seiko due to the seahorse mark on the back case, the Seiko Champion 860 holds a special place as a collectible item for vintage Seiko enthusiasts.
