Seiko Business-A 8346-9000 Silver Sunburst Dial

In the 1960s, Seiko launched the Seiko Business-A range, designed with simplicity and practicality to appeal to the young professional market. 

This Seiko Business-A 8346-9000 from 1967 exemplifies classic and functional design with a silver sunburst dial, baton indices, dauphine hands, and a day-date window. With a minimalist aesthetic and a case size of 37mm by 42mm lug-to-lug—considered quite large for a vintage watch— was tailored for easy readability, catering to the busy lifestyle of a young businessman.

The 8346 movement, introduced in 1966, is an automatic with manual winding movement beats at 18,000 BPH and includes a quickset date function. The day can also be quickly adjusted by moving the crown between 21:00 and 00:00 hours. The movement runs with good accuracy and power reserve.

This watch is in excellent condition, with a clean domed Hardlex crystal, a pristine dial, and a well-preserved case showing no significant signs of wear, aside from a small scratch on the top end link. The original bracelet fits wrist sizes up to approximately 18.5 cm.
