The Seiko 6206 movement was introduced in 1964 as an evolution of the Seikosha 800 movement. firstly used in the Seiko Seikomatic / Seikomatic Weekdater range but in 1967 Seiko decided to rename it to Seiko Business but the models remained the same as its predecessor.
The 6206 is an automatic day and date caliber beating at 18,000 bph, with 26 jewels. The day disc was printed in one language (English or Kanji) with the quickset for the date only.
The 6206-8160 model is known as the Business weekdater, characterized by its exquisite gold-textured fluted bezel case. Produced in 1967, this watch has been remarkably well-preserved and remains in very good condition. It showcases a silver sunburst dial adorned with gold indices and dauphine hands. This complete vintage Weekdater timepiece is a rare find in today's market, especially in such excellent condition.
The movement, accuracy, and power reserve of this watch are all in good condition, making it a desirable piece for collectors of vintage Seiko dress watches.
