The movement features 25 jewels, automatic winding with manual winding capability, a hacking seconds function, and quickset day-date, highlighting Seiko’s advanced engineering in the early 1970s.

The 1971 King Seiko 5626-7060 represents one of the top-tier models within the iconic King Seiko lineup. It features a clean and understated design, highlighted by a silver sunburst dial with slim applied indices, doubled at 12 o’clock, a neatly framed day-date window, and sharp sword-style hands that enhance legibility.

Its sleek brushed case design exudes a timeless and elegant aesthetic. To signify its status as a high grade Seiko chronometer of the period, the watch is fitted with the iconic gold medallion caseback, marked Seiko KS Chronometer.

The watch is in very good overall condition with a serviced movement, running with precise accuracy. The dial remains crisp and clean, showing only a faint, light mark above the day-date window, visible only at certain angles. The case is unpolished, retaining light surface scratches consistent with age but no dents. The gold medallion remains in good condition, with only a small dent near the lower part of the “S” logo.
