The Seiko 5 Superior is the upper variant of the regular Seiko 5, featuring the 7S36 movement with 23 jewels, two more than the regular 7S26 movement. Despite the higher jewel count, both movements operate at the same 21,600 bph rate.
With the "Superior" tag, the 7S36-0030 boasts a more appealing design with its unique case shape and signature dial. The dial showcases a whirlpool texture in cream color, along with an inner minutes ring featuring Roman minute markings every 5 seconds.
Completing the unique dial are gold hands, indices, and the Seiko 5 gold plated mark. The caseback features a special Seiko 5 Superior logo, reminiscent of the Grand Seiko logo.
Despite a light blemish on the dial, the watch remains in good condition, running with normal accuracy and power reserve. It comes with a full link original bracelet showing minimal signs of wear.
The Seiko 5 Superior, with its distinctive case and dial, has become a collector's item within the Seiko 5 line over the years.
