Seiko 5 Actus SS 6106-7690 JDM Red Dial

Seiko 5 Actus with its Seiko’s favorite automatic movement, the 6106C was introduced in 1969-1977 as revised from the 1967 6106A movement.

6106 movement comes with 25 Jewels but the 6106C has the Diafix installations and the 6106C variant introduced a quickset mechanism to allow the day and date to be changed by pushing in the crown. And is the only caliber to support a bilingual day wheel.

An “SS” logo found in some 5 Actus models means the short form of Second Setting, a movement feature that allows the second hand to stop ticking once the crown is pulled out.

Featuring various dial variants and colors within the Seiko 5 Actus Series, the 6106-7690 stands out with its uncommon red dial adorned with horizontal stripe texture, exhibiting a captivating shine under specific lighting conditions. The watch is complemented by small white minute markers, baton indices, and hands. Its distinctive case design boasts sharp edges, paired with a unique bracelet that accommodates wrist sizes up to +/- 18.5cm.

The timepiece is in good working condition with good condition dial while a minor small nick is present below the right edge, the overall case remains in good condition.
