Seiko 5 Actus with its Seiko’s favorite automatic movement, the 6106C was introduced in 1969-1977 as revised from the 1967 6106A movement.
6106 movement comes with 25 Jewels but the 6106C has the Diafix installations and the 6106C variant introduced a quickset mechanism to allow the day and date to be changed by pushing in the crown. And is the only caliber to support a bilingual day wheel.
An “SS” logo found in some 5 Actus models means the short form of Second Setting, a movement feature that allows the second hand to stop ticking once the crown is pulled out.
This is a Seiko 5 Actus SS with ivory white sunburst dial in good condition. It has black lines on both of the dauphine hands and hour indices. And a small minutes rail on the side of the dial to add a more sporty look to the watch. An affordable good condition watch to add to your collections.
