This Seiko Actus 5, dating to around 1974, is a Japan Domestic Market (JDM) model featuring a striking metallic burgundy dial that immediately captures attention. The rich tone pairs beautifully with the unique baton shaped indices and matching hands, creating a bold yet balanced vintage aesthetic.

Adding further character, Seiko fitted this model with a distinctive faceted crystal, giving it a subtle diamond cut brilliance that enhances the dial’s depth under different lighting angles.

Powering the watch is the reliable Cal. 7019 automatic movement, recently serviced and running well. Operating at 21,600 bph, the 7019 is known as a dependable workhorse of its era. The case has been carefully polished, maintaining its sharp edges and distinctive “turtle shield” shape. It measures approximately 37mm in width and 40.5mm lug-to-lug, making it a versatile size that wears comfortably on a variety of wrist sizes.

The original bracelet fits wrists up to approximately 18cm, completing the authentic 1970s look while ensuring comfortable wear.
