The round case with short, edgy lugs is paired with its original Seiko bracelet, fitting wrists up to approximately 17.5cm.
While the 7009 was positioned as a basic Seiko movement, it is regarded to have better build quality and materials than the later 7S26 found in most Seiko 5 models. Notably, it also features a bilingual English/Spanish day display with a quickset function operated by pushing the crown.
