For sale the Seiko SCVG005 4S24-0070, a classic time-only dress watch from 1997.
The watch features a 35.5 x 44mm stainless steel case. The dial has a clean white finish, maintaining a straightforward and highly legible layout beneath a clear crystal. The aesthetic closely resembles the First Grand Seiko and its modern recreation, the SBGW257, most notably sharing the classic "Diashock" script printed above the 6 o'clock position.
Powered by the Seiko Caliber 4S24 manual-winding movement. The 4S series is notable for deriving its architecture directly from the robust 52-series movements built by the Daini factory in the 1970s. Running at 28,800 bph, it provides reliable daily performance and represents Seiko's renewed focus on traditional mechanical watchmaking during the late 90s.
This example from 1997 is in very good condition. The case is in overall good shape, showing only a few light hairline scratches on the body and caseback. The white dial and crystal remain exceptionally clean. This piece comes as a full set, complete with its original box and papers.
A solid, well-built mechanical Seiko with strong vintage design cues.
