Seiko KS King Seiko J14102 AD Silver Sunburst Dial
Seiko KS King Seiko J14102 AD Silver Sunburst Dial
King Seiko was created from 1961 to 1975 by Daini Seikosha as an alternative to Suwa Seikosha’s Grand Seiko.
The first generation of King Seiko was built from mid-1961 to mid-1964, with the code J14102. The new King Seiko branding was applied and eliminated the traditional Seiko name. Led solely with the new logo on the dial.
The movement was derived from the existing Daini 54A movement used in Seikosha Cronos and Champion. Two jewels were added to the top Cronos movement raising from 23 to 25 jewels. A tadpole fine regulator was added to the balance to regulate the 18000 vph movement more accurately.
The 1st Generation King Seiko here was produced in 1963 with stainless steel case diameter of 35mm, silver sunburst dial, corrugated markers at 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, and double markers at 12, Diashock 25 Jewels text and an Applied Dial (AD) logo. All in very good condition clean dial and polished case with the original S crown, just the back case shield labeled is fading.
Manual winding movement in very good condition with long PR, a King that refused to retire.
