In the early 1970s, Seiko introduced three distinctive quartz lines the QT, QR, and QZ  marking a new era in precision watchmaking. The Seiko QZ 0923-8040 presented here belongs to the QZ series from 1975, a year that defined Seiko’s quartz revolution and its commitment to innovation.

Powered by the 0923 quartz movement, this model offers an impressive accuracy of ±15 seconds per month and includes a quickset day-date feature. A unique highlight is its bilingual day display, where the English day of the week appears in dual color variations, blue and black for weekdays, red and black for Sundays with bold text, a rare and charming detail within Seiko’s quartz lineup.

The watch remains in excellent overall condition, showing only light signs of wear. Its striking copper red metallic dial is beautifully paired with two-tone silver and white stick indices and matching hands, while the side-faceted crystal adds extra visual depth.
