For sale the Seiko Lord Marvel 5740-8000, a historically significant timepiece from 1970 that houses Seiko's pioneering high-beat technology.

The watch features a classic 35 x 41mm stainless steel case. The standout of this piece is its highly sought-after and harder to find dial configuration, combining a beautiful white linen texture with classic printed Breguet numerals. This elegant layout gives the watch an incredibly refined and distinctive character compared to the standard baton-index Lord Marvels.

Powered by the legendary Seiko Caliber 5740C manual-winding movement, this was Seiko's very first true hi-beat caliber running at 36,000 bph (beats per hour). This high frequency provides a mesmerizingly smooth sweep to the seconds hand and established the foundation for Seiko's later hi-beat supremacy.

This example from 1970 remains in great condition. The stainless steel case has been professionally polished while carefully retaining the sharp factory edges on the lugs and sides. It features an overall clean dial and crystal, and the manual-wind movement is in good running condition.
