The Seiko Chronos is the successor to the Silverwave line, introduced in the early 1980s and produced exclusively for the Japanese market until 1989. As a sub-brand of Seiko, the Chronos series offered mid-range quartz watches with a sportier aesthetic.
This 1989 Seiko Chronos 7731-5130 showcases a classic TV-shaped case design paired with an octagon-shaped bezel. The standout feature of the watch is its white sunburst dial with a honeycomb texture, accented by gold-tone stick indices and pencil-style hands.
Measuring 33mm across with the crown and 36mm lug-to-lug, the watch remains in good condition, with a clean dial, crystal, and case. The crown shows only minor signs of wear. Paired with an aftermarket mesh bracelet from Bambi Japan, this watch has a comfortable fit and exudes a clean, vintage vibe, fitting wrist sizes of approximately 18cm.
