Seiko Business 6206-8100 Weekdater Silver Sunburst Dial

The Seiko 6206 movement was introduced in 1964 as an evolution of the Seikosha 800 movement. firstly used in the Seiko Seikomatic / Seikomatic Weekdater range but in 1967 Seiko decided to rename it to Seiko Business but the models remained the same as its predecessor.

The 6206 is an automatic day and date caliber beating at 18,000 bph, with 26 jewels. The day disc was printed in one language (English or Kanji) with the quickset for the date only.

One of the recognizable models is the Seiko 6206-8100 Business Weekdater, produced in 1966, which features a silver sunburst dial complemented by silver indices and dauphine hands, and stainless steel fluted bezel case.

This English-day version Business Weekdater remains in original and well-preserved condition. The case and crystal are in great shape, while the dial exhibits only slight minor  aging along the inner minute track that mostly invisible during regular wear, adding to its vintage charm. The movement has been recently serviced, ensuring reliable performance and full functionality.

With its distinctive fluted bezel, elegant design, and historical significance, the Seiko Business Weekdater 6206-8100 is a rare find in today’s market, making it an excellent choice for vintage dress watch enthusiasts.
