Seiko 5 Actus SS 6106-5440 TV Shape Dark Gray Linen Dial

Known for its vibrant and diverse dial variations, the Seiko 5 Actus SS line is well represented by this vintage Seiko 6106-5440. Housed in a bold TV-shaped case, this model features an attractive dark gray linen-textured dial. Unlike typical 5 Actus SS layouts, the logo here is placed horizontally, accented by a white crosshair line running across the dial. The raised rectangular acrylic crystal enhances its distinctively vintage and retro character.

Inside beats the 6106C automatic movement with 25 jewels, equipped with Diafix shock protection and a rare quickset function—allowing both the day and date to be adjusted by pushing in the crown. The day display is bilingual (Kanji/English), and the “SS” (Second Setting) designation signifies a hacking function, a rarity among Seiko 5 models, making this piece especially appealing to collectors.

The watch remains in all-original condition. It shows minor surface scratches on the case, crystal, and bracelet consistent with age, but is overall in good working condition. The quickset mechanism functions properly, and the dial remains clean with no signs of aging. The original bracelet with extension clasp fits wrists up to approximately 18cm.
