Grand Seiko 56GS 5646-7010 White Dial

In 1971, Seiko introduced the Grand Seiko 56 series as the successor to the 61GS lineup. This new GS range was equipped with a refined version of the 56-series automatic movement, which had been previously employed in the successful Lord Matic sub-brand. The Grand Seiko 56 featured several upgrades: a higher beat rate of 28,800 bph compared to the Lord Matic's 21,600 bph, a jewel count of 25 (up from 23), and an advanced fine regulator, allowing for precise adjustments.

This 1973 Grand Seiko 5646-7010 highlights a timelessly elegant white dial with a day-date window and the iconic, Taro Tanaka-inspired case design that epitomizes the "Grammar of Design." Complemented by a GS-signed crown and the gold medallion trademark on the case back, it unmistakably represents the luxury status of its era.

Minor signs of wear include hairline scratches on the case and a few short, light scratches on the crystal.
