The Seikomatic range was introduced in the early 1960s as the upper range of automatic watches produced by Seiko at that time. The Seikomatic-P was introduced around 1967 and was only produced for a short period until 1969.

The 1967 Seiko 5106-8010 featured here is from the Seikomatic-P range, showcasing a classic and simple silver dial with a linen texture, adorned with dauphine hands similar to those of vintage Grand and King Seiko models.

The 5106 caliber is an automatic (with hand winding) watch movement considered highly engineered for its time, featuring a high count of 33 jewels, beating at 19,800 bph, and offering a unique quick-set date change mechanism by pushing in the crown.

The 5106-8010 embodies a shape similar to the Grand Seiko 5722, making it a highly sought-after model within the Seikomatic-P line. Measuring at 36.5mm in diameter, the watch boasts a perfect size for any wrist, with its slim 10mm thickness allowing it to effortlessly slip under your cuffs.

This watch is in great condition, with no obvious signs of wear on the case, a clean dial showing no signs of aging, a clear dome acrylic crystal, and a recently serviced movement ensuring normal accuracy and power reserve.
